Mark + Nora

I was so happy when Nora reached out to me about photographing her and her fiancé Marks wedding at Greystone Castle in Canastota. My excitement only grew after meeting them and shooting their engagement photos. Nora had many unique and fun ideas that she came up with beforehand. It was such a pleasure to work with a couple that was so creative and full of excitement.

Before a wedding I always send over a questionnaire to get details on the day and to learn a little more about my couples. One particular question I ask is “what was your favorite part of the planning process?” The response I got made me smile.

“Dress shopping with my mom and suit shopping with his mom, making our playlist, photo shoots with you :), and most importantly – dreaming of seeing each other for the first time.”

Nora and Mark decided on a ‘first touch’ rather than a first look for their wedding. I loved this idea- it allowed them to calm some nerves while still keeping tradition and leaving their first look to be at the ceremony in front of friends and family.

Greystone Castle is such a unique venue. What I love about it is that every time I am there they have added something new. The upstairs is spectacular and filled with amazing furniture and designs. We were lucky to be able to shoot some portraits upstairs that totally fit with Mark and Nora’s fairytale theme.

Mark and Nora are huge WWE fans, they even entered to a WWE theme song.
